Job Description We are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to care for our residents and facilitate their speedy recovery in our skilled nursing neighborhood. Job Responsibilities: Provides for activities of daily living by assisting with serving meals, feeding residents as necessary and ambulating, turning, and positioning residents; and providing fresh water and nourishment between meals. Provides adjunct care by administering enemas, douches, non-sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths; and applying restraints. Maintains resident stability by checking vital signs and weight; testing urine and recording intake and output information. Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting residents; answering residents’ call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the resident to nursing supervisor. Documents actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Maintains work operations by following policies and procedures. Protects organization’s value by keeping resident information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations, and maintaining licensure. Enhances nursing department and company reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Skills and Qualifications: Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Knowledge of relevant nursing care Friendly and professional bedside manner Understands legal implications of patient care A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Responsible and compassionate Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills Patient with excellent problem-solving skills Education and Experience Requirements: California CNA certificate required CPR certification required 1 years of nursing assistant experience in skilled nursing, preferred Must be able to pass background screening, pre-employment physical, TB test, COVID test and drug screening Must be able to work AM and/or NOC shift, full time Additional information Full Time Sign on Bonus Details: New full time employees are eligible for $250 sign on bonus after 30 days; additional $250 sign on bonus after 90 days; and additional $500 sign on bonus after 1 year.
