Certified Medication Technician (CMT) Job Description
Riderwood, a 5-star continuing care retirement community located in Silver Spring, Maryland, is looking for CMT’s/CMAs, part-time for all shifts (2, 8-hour shifts per week with every other weekend) Our medication Aides/medication technicians support our residents in all aspects of daily living, providing person centered care to ensure we meet all of our resident’s needs. Help people live better lives by: • Supporting the residents physical, spiritual, emotional and clinical needs • Assisting residents in activities of daily living • Implementing residents’ personal care plans, focusing on residents strengths, preferences and preferred routines, while providing a sense of comfort, companionship and belonging. • Providing assistance with resident activities and programs • Working with the clinical team to ensure the needs of our residents are being addressed in a timely matter. • Administration of medication to residents What we offer: • Onsite wellness visits and sick care available for all employees 18 years of age and older. • Full benefits for employees working 30 or more hours per week (medical, dental, vision). • Tuition reimbursement and career development opportunities. • Fully supplied, state of the art buildings with 24 hour security. • 30% employee discount at on-campus restaurants. • Wellness Center with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and Olympic sized pool available to employees. • Free onsite parking What you will need: • Current CNA/GNA certification for the state of Maryland • If holds CNA certification, must be willing to obtain GNA certification within 6 months of hire (certification and licensing paid by nursing). • Current certification for Medication Administration - per state requirements • 1-2 years of CNA or GNA experience • 1-2 years Medication Administration experience • High School diploma or GED required At Riderwood, you'll discover a workplace that inspires you to be and do your best, every day.
