Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
As an Adventist Home Assistance CNA you will: • Perform various service duties and routine technical tasks such as vital signs and activities of daily living under supervision of a Registered Nurse. • Consider the special needs and behaviors of specific patient populations is required. • Adhere to the written care plan instructions issued by the Clinical Nurse while also striving to advance their own knowledge and skills through careful feedback and guidance provided by the Clinical Nurse Manager. • Serve as AHA ambassadors in patient’s home and are expected to use best practices in patient care. • Demonstrate professionalism, adhere to AHA standards of practice, and exemplify the Adventist HealthCare values as they fulfill our nursing mission and vision. • Have the ability to use equipment and technology correctly, to provide excellent service to patients, and to maximize patient satisfaction are key CNA role. Qualifications include: • High School Diploma or GED • Valid Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) • Valid American Heart Association BLS/CPR Certification • Valid First Aid Certification • CNAs with a year or more of experience after certification required • Valid Maryland Board of Nursing Certified Medication Technician/Certified Medication Aide (CMT/CMA) preferred • Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
