Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description

Responsibilities: -Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing. -Support clients with mobility and physical activities, including lifting when necessary. -Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance client well-being. -Administer basic healthcare tasks as directed, including monitoring vital signs and managing durable medical equipment (DME). -Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed. -Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. -Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. -Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for clients. Requirements: -Previous experience in personal care or related fields such as hospice care, emergency medicine, or nursing home settings is preferred. -Familiarity with outpatient services and geriatrics is a plus. -Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques. -Experience working with children is considered an asset. -Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) and healthcare systems is beneficial. -Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team. -Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others. -Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
