Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Job Description
Athena Home Care is looking for CNAs, HCAs and anyone in the process of obtaining their certification, for full-time and part-time Caregiver positions. Athena is a small, family-owned business that provides in-home care to developmentally disabled adults & children, as well as assists the elderly with activities of daily living. All clients are located in Clark County, and there are immediate openings available for both full-time and part-time. Job Duties Include: Following all agency policies and procedures. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) which can include: eating, ambulating, turning, transferring, personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, and dressing. Perform household services essential to the client’s safety and care at home, including: laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, medication assistance and essential shopping. Accompany clients to regularly scheduled medical appointments. Perform ONLY the tasks defined in the client’s Care Summary. Know and comply with the Agency Ethics Policy and Athena's Policy on Conflict of Interest. Complete and submit legible timecards in a timely fashion, as well as meet every requirement for electronic timekeeping. Respecting the rights of clients and their families to have different beliefs, opinions, cultures and customs. Successful completion of basic training followed by HM or CNA credential active on Department of Health website within 200 days of hire. Completion of agency Orientation, and Continuing Education training as required. Job Requirements/Qualifications: Have an active/pending CNA or HCA or currently be enrolled in CNA training courses. Must be able to pass a Washington State and FBI background check. MUST have reliable transportation to and from the client's homes. NO PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!
