Job Title: Caregiver (Day Shift)
Shift Hours: 2 PM-10PM
10PM-6AM
Location: Forest Cottage Senior Care
Job Description: As a caregiver at Forest Cottage Senior Care, you will play a vital role in supporting the well-being and quality of life of our residents. This position requires dedication, compassion, and a strong commitment to providing exceptional care to elderly individuals.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily living assistance to our residents with a patient and caring demeanor.
Assist residents with personal care activities including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Help residents with mobility, including moving to and from beds, wheelchairs, or seats.
Ensure timely medication administration as per prescribed health care provider’s instructions.
Monitor health changes and communicate significant findings to the nursing staff.
Prepare and serve meals while ensuring dietary restrictions are followed.
Engage residents in activities and social programs to promote mental and physical stimulation.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
Document care and report any significant changes in resident condition promptly.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid (CPR certification is a plus).
Keen observation skills, with the ability to assess care needs and act swiftly in response.
Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
A warm, patient, and uplifting personality.
High school diploma or equivalent; certification in elderly care is a preferred.
