Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
Personal Attendant Service tasks that enable an individual to perform/continue with Activities of Daily Living. Provides direct Client Care and assistance may include the following: Personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, skin care, foot care, oral care, nail care, etc.) Nutrition/hydration (Preparing, serving and cleanup of meals) and assist Client’s with feeding as needed) Assists with safe transfers. Assist with ambulation of Client’s - active and passive range of motion. Assists with safe wheelchair and/or walker use Assist with prompting for medication compliance. Care of Client’s toileting needs. Participates with indirect Client Care responsibilities including but not limited to: Light Housekeeping. Assist with Laundry. Shopping (Groceries, Medication pickup and supplies as needed). Remains attentive to Client and Personal Attendant safety responsibilities. Maintains effective communication skills with the older adult and with co-workers. Follows assignment schedule and Client’s plan of care. Performs other duties as required or assigned by emergency or other operational reasons for which the employee is qualified to perform. Personal Attendants are required and must be able to use the Electronic Visit Verification system to verify visits. Personal Attendants are required to have legal and reliable transportation (Personal car and Driver's license, ride from another individual with Driver's license, city bus, etc.) in order to be at the client's home on time consistently. Consent to a background check is mandatory for these positions. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $9.5 - 11.00 per hour COVID-19 considerations: PPE provided
