Home Care Aide (HCA) Job Description
Cornerstone Community, a nonprofit adult family home for special needs adults in Leavenworth, WA, is looking for a caregiver. This is a special caregiver position with a focus primarily on assisting with one of our residents who needs extra attention and focus. This caregiver will spend most of their time sitting with this resident, reading to him, watching videos with him, taking him on walks. This type of one-on-one focus is to allow the primary caregiver for the home to have the time to focus on the other residents and get other tasks accomplished. Because this position is an additional person to our primary caregiver, we are open to considering both part-time and full-time applicants. It would be most helpful if part-time applicants could provide a minimum of four hours in the afternoon. A full-time shift would be working from 9AM - 5PM or 11AM – 7PM Monday through Friday (although this is somewhat negotiable). The ideal applicant would already have their CNA or HCA license, but for the right person, and commitment to the home, we would pay for this training. Fully trained caregivers would earn $20 /hr after completion of a training/ probationary period. Full time would also come with fully paid health / dental / vision care for the employee. If you would be interested in possibly joining our family here at Cornerstone, contact Resident Manager Carl Florea for a full job description and application at carl@cornerstone-afh.org or 509-888-3311.
