Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, you’ll provide personal care, household support, and companion care (homemaker) services to help adults stay safe and independent at home. As Assisting Hands CHHA, or Live-in you’ll have the opportunity to develop close relationships with your clients while you help them with: Activities of daily living: bathing, grooming, toileting, nail care, etc. Household support: light housekeeping, laundry, bed making etc. Meal preparation and feeding Range of motion/exercises Assisting with ambulation (Transfers/use of mechanical lifting devices) Medication reminders We have current job openings for HHAs – Home Health Aides in the following location Edison, NJ Metuchen, NJ Woodbridge, NJ Westfield, NJ Roselle Park, NJ South Plainfiled, NJ Piscataway, NJ East Brunswick, NJ North Brunswick, NJ Monroe Twp, NJ Princeton, NJ Somerset, NJ Sayreville, NJ Perth Amboy, NJ All of Middlesex County, NJ All of Someret County, NJ Parts of Union County, NJ Qualifications: One (1) year experience in the home or long-term care setting is preferred. Current HHA - Home Health Aide license listed in good standing with the board Primary Duties: Maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment within client’s residence. The performance of all personal care activities contained in a written Plan of Care. Providing nutritional support as needed. Reporting changes in the client’s condition. Assisting with the use of devices for aid to daily living such as a wheelchair, walker, or hoyer lift Assisting the client with medication reminders Abides by all policies and procedures outlined in the agency’s Policy and Procedure Manual, Caregiver Handbook, and Caregiver Training Manual. Hours: Dependent on assignment; Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability. Assisting Hands does not guarantee hours.
