What do we do?
We help older adults succeed in living full lives with as much independence and dignity as possible. We support our clients desire to remain at home by assisting them with personal care and home making needs, by proving friendship and support, and assisting with other needs such as meal preparation, transportation to appointments and outings, plus a whole lot more. In all we do, we seek to build meaningful relationships with our clients and their loved ones.
Example of duties you may perform:
Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, making meals and laundry by providing homemaking services and custodial care
Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting/incontinence care, and dressing and occasionally, assisting with transfers from bed to wheelchair
Provide general companionship care to our clients, including conversation and social engagement
Follow the personal, written care plan for each client and clearly document your tasks so our client's families know their loved one has been well cared for
Provide transportation to appointments and assist with miscellaneous errands
Communicate the needs, concerns of client, family, staff, or others to office
Represent yourself and Leaves well by respectfully and professionally interacting with staff, family, doctors, and agencies
Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, training, and meetings
Qualifications
Current driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record
Minimum of high school degree or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old
Willingness to learn new skills and work independently and in cooperation with others
Ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally with a high degree of sensitivity and respect, timeliness, attire, policies, and procedures
Ability to work with those who have physical or cognitive challenges
Experience as a home health aide preferred but not required
Knowledge of Hospice or Dementia Care preferred
