Home Health Aide (HHA) Job Description
Job Summary Certified/Licensed Home Health Aides are the eyes and ears of our institution. Must have at least 1 year of experience, preferably in providing personal care to hospice patients. Must be compassionate, gentle, respectful and professional. Must coordinate with hospice team, especially with the Case Manager and the Interdisciplinary Team. Responsibilities and Duties -HHA Certification Required -Work schedule 9 AM to 5 PM -- Monday to Friday (Full-time) -Provides gentle personal care to 3-7 patients per day -Provides companionship -Attends in-services and IDT every 14 days (Wednesdays). Qualifications and Skills -Compassionate, respectful, able to build a good rapport with patients and families -Practices HIPAA, infection control protocols -Professional in demeanor, dress codes, provides privacy during care -Must be willing to get tested for COVID 19 weekly, if unvaccinated. -Must be willing to get tested for COVID 19 monthly, if vaccinated.
