LPN F/T Days

We are seeking an LPN to cover a medical leave. This is a full time position in a small Assisted Living and Memory Care community in Boca Raton, FL. The Nurse works collaboratively with the Administrator or designee to create and maintain the quality of care and services in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations, Advent Square policies and procedures and the mission of Advent Life Ministries. Duties and Responsibilities: · Direct supervision and leadership of resident care/services staff · Daily wellness rounds to all residents according to established schedule · Oversee the care and wellness of residents · Responding to and evaluating unscheduled needs of residents · Medication Administration, Assistance with Self- Administration of Medications, and oversight of Self Administration of Medications according to Florida Statutes and within the scope of the nursing license. · Works collaboratively with the Food Service team and Resident Engagement Staff · Keeps families informed of Resident status, maintaining proper confidentiality · Coordinates Resident Care/Service with independent service providers (i.e. physicians, home health, hospice care etc.) · Assists residents with the activities of daily living as needed · Implements a schedule of care/services that is appropriate for each resident · Provides orientation to new staff members assigned to the ALF · Maintains professional license and meets all continuing education requirements · Other duties as assigned Job Qualifications, Education & Experience: · Graduate of a state approved school of nursing with current license as a Practical Nurse (LPN) · Minimum 2 years of experience in Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Hospice or Acute Care Setting; experience with memory care highly preferred · Ability to respond to complicated and complex issues, and the ability to make independent decisions when necessary · Positive interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate with compassion and tact. · Must be able to communicate clearly in English, bi-lingual, English/Spanish highly preferred. Essential Physical Requirements: · Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye coordination. · Requires sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds. · Requires corrected or normal vision and hearing to normal range.
