By providing full-service urology to the patients and communities we serve, there will be greater satisfaction as well as patient and physician loyalty which will allow COUG continued success and growth.” Job Description Job Description QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED Graduate of accredited school of nursing Active nursing license required Positive and effective communication skills PREFERRED ADDITIONAL Two (2) years experience in a surgery center ( PERFERRED NOT REQUIRED) Experience in central processing functions related to facility equipment Experience or training in the disinfection/sterilization process Experience with sterile procedures I.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supports the philosophy, mission, employee code of conduct, goals, and objectives of the Central Ohio Urology Surgery Center Contributes to the progress and development of the Organization's adopted Quality Management Program Communicates effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co‑workers Maintains professional competence by participating in continuing education and other learning experiences Adheres to safety and environment of care policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities Effectively organizes time, equipment, supplies and personnel Adheres to the procedure requirements and technician functions approved for the facility Applies the principles of aseptic technique and prescribed procedures to competently perform technician functions Performs required maintenance of instruments, supplies and equipment by adhering to cleaning, care, utilization and sterilization procedures as directed Adheres to the sterilization process policies and procedures Completes other duties as assigned II.CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of Ambulatory Surgery Center Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies and procedures Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities Ability to be an effective communicator with regular and frequent contact with patients Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal departments
