Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN Qualifications:
• Current and valid Missouri LPN license is REQUIRED.
• Thorough knowledge of Missouri State regulations for Assisted Living facilities.
• Assisted Living or Long Term Care/SNF experience is REQUIRED.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s and dementia is a plus.
• Be a self-starter and able to work independently.
• Experience in staff member relations including training and development.
• Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff.
• Must be able to adjust based on the needs of Parkwood Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation at the direction of the Director of Nursing and the Administer.

Licensed Practical Nurse - LPN Responsibilities:
• Ensure that your staff are following care plans.
• Chart on all residents under your care.
• Work within the scope of your license.
• Assist in the dining room during meal times.
• Responsible for all nursing care of all residents during his/her shift.
• Supervision of the nursing department and performance of staff assigned to his/her zone or hall including nursing assistants and medication aid.
• Provide education and guidance to the staff under your assigned area.
• Take verbal and written orders from medical personnel and transcribe, note and follow up on the orders and document the nursing notes.
