The LPN is responsible for providing direct care to the residents and to supervise the day to day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistants in accordance with current federal and local standards governing the facility. The LPN is responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times. Ensure that nursing staff under direct supervision administer nursing care to patients/residents on accordance with all nursing department standards of practice. To maintain continuity of nursing care during shift transitions, receives and provides reports ( both written and verbal) to nursing staff and management and documents pertinent information in a 24-hour nursing report in accordance with established procedures. Treats residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
