Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervises nursing staff in the day-to-day delivery of resident care, including scheduling, job assignments, and developing nursing unit priorities Monitors and assesses all aspects of resident care Administers medication and treatment according to physician's orders, care plans, and facility's policy and procedures Uses problem solving skills to make improvements in the delivery of resident care in collaboration with Director of Nursing Maintains safe environment and exhibits safe work practice in accordance with facility policy and procedure. Makes resident rounds on a regular basis and addresses and corrects any necessary operational issues. Maintains knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to personal care home/memory care population. Providing staff training relating to nursing department The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Strong clinical and documentation skills. Previous experience as an LPN, two years’ experience as charge nurse/supervisor preferred Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to establish rapport with residents and families Current LPN license in good standing
