Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
$14.70 PER HOUR
IMMEDIATE NEED- for Residential Group Homes- working with DD/MR clients in Atlantic County area. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK SOME WEEKENDS AND EVENINGS
Job Requirements:
MUST HAVE VALID NJ DRIVERS LICENSE (NO RESTRICTIONS & NOT IN PROBATIONARY STATUS)
MUST HAVE High School diploma or GED
Must be at least 18 years of age
MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
Must submit to a drug test and a criminal background check (State and Federal) upon hire.

Post offer requirements:
Successful completion of all training, as required
Must continue to hold a valid New Jersey non-probation/non-provisional driver’s license
Job Duties include:
Assumes responsibility for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of residents assigned to his/her care.
Provides whatever assistance is required by residents to assure adequate standards of healthcare, medication administration, personal hygiene, proper nutrition, overall care, community involvement, participation in preferred activities etc.
Escorts/transports residents to treatment facilities, day programs, church services, work, recreational activities/outings, and other locations as required.
Required to prepare meals for residents according to menus, resident choice, and within doctor ordered guidelines.
Under the direction of management, the employee shall provide, assist, or supervise residents in activities of daily living such as mobility, transferring, walking, grooming, bathing, dressing, and undressing, eating, and toileting.
Administers medications and treatments according to DDD regulations and company policy.
Performs general household functions and chores as directed by the Manager.
