Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
The KeyWest Center is a small business in Durham, NC. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide quality care and assistance to six adult individuals who are intellectually developmentally disabled. This position is ideal for an individual who is compassionate, patient, tolerant and responsive to client needs. The Personal Care Assistant will be responsible for keeping the home clean and sanitary while assisting residents with their daily needs. We're looking for someone who has a genuine passion for serving others and meeting the needs of others. PLEASE CALL TO SETUP AN INTERIEW!!!! Responsibilities: #1 - Complete all tasks and duties in accordance with the nursing policies and procedures, departmental policies, and applicable regulatory standards state and federal guidelines. #2 - Monitor residents' health status and report any changes to appropriate staff. #3 - Attend to the physical comfort of residents; assist with daily living activities as necessary, provide help with eating, changing clothes, bathing, etc. #4 - Ensure that residents are served meals that is nutritional and appealing to taste and, #5 - Be a role model in treating all residents with respect.
