Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
((SIGN ON BONUS ONLY WHEN BRINGING YOUR OWN CLIENT)) CONTACT (484)-452-6408 EXT. 1 • Personal Care: Assisting clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure their dignity and comfort. • Medication Management: Assisting with self-administered medications by reminding clients to take them at the prescribed time(s) • Meal Preparation: Preparing and serving nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions or preferences. • Mobility Assistance: Helping clients move safely within their homes or between locations, including transferring from beds, wheelchairs, or vehicles. • Companionship: Offering emotional support and companionship, engaging clients in conversation and activities to combat loneliness and promote mental well-being. • Household Management: Performing light housekeeping duties, including laundry, cleaning, and organizing, to maintain a safe and comfortable living environment. • Transportation Services: Providing transportation to appointments, social events, or errands, ensuring clients have access to necessary services and activities. • Communication with Family: Maintaining open lines of communication with family members regarding the client’s condition, progress, and any concerns that arise. • Observation and Reporting: Monitoring clients’ physical and emotional health, documenting any changes and reporting them to healthcare professionals or supervisors. These responsibilities are crucial for enhancing the quality of life for clients who require assistance due to age, illness, or disability.
