Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care - Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding - Provide medication reminders - Perform basic life support techniques in emergency situations Requirements: - Valid certification as a nursing assistant or completion of a nursing assistant training program for CNAs.(if applicable) - Knowledge and experience in providing patient care in a home care setting - Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities - Proficient in basic life support techniques - Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families - Detail-oriented and able to accurately record patient information Qualifications: - Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and have a minimum of a High School Diploma. - Must have at least one year of experience in the healthcare profession preferred. - Must have at minimum, two (2) satisfactory references from previous employers. - Strong communication skills and ability to interact compassionately with patients and their families Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
