Job Title: In-Home Aide I or II Facility: Rainbow 66 Storehouse, Inc. Education: 18 years old or older able to read, write, and follow instruction Responsibilities: The primary function of the In-Home Aide is to assist clients with personal care services and activities of daily living (ADL’s) under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assistance with ADL’s include assisting clients with hygiene, bathing, dressing, mobility, toileting, eating, grooming, meal preparation and other duties as defined in each client’s plan of care that are instrumental to completing personal care. Complete training in, at minimum, of beneficiary rights, confidentiality and privacy practices along with monthly in services. In-Home Aides are required to: • Able to administer care for limited client’s • Attend at least 12 hours of in-service annually and at least one in-service annually on airborne and blood borne pathogen training. • Report any change in client condition to the RN Service Supervisor and Home Care Agency Director • Complete housekeeping and home management tasks that are essential. Although secondary to personal care tasks necessary for maintaining the client’s health • Maintains confidentiality regarding client care and condition • Perform all skills and procedures competently and within the regulations and licensing laws of the state and agency policies • Report accidents/incidents • Recognize and report signs of abuse and neglect Quaifications: The position requires empathy and communication skills in addition to the ability to perform physical care. Qualified individual must be able to read, follow written instructions and document care given.
