Personal Care Assistant (PCA) Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide quality, respectful care in a small Adult Family Home serving 3–4 ambulatory residents. Our home offers a calm, family-like environment where residents are treated with dignity and staff are supported and valued.
As a PCA, you will assist residents with daily living activities while promoting independence, comfort, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist residents with personal care (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting)
• Support mobility and transfers (residents are ambulatory)
• Assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, and laundry
• Provide medication reminders (per care plan)
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Observe and report changes in resident condition
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment
• Follow all care plans, policies, and safety procedures

✅ Requirements
• Must be 18 years or older
• PCA or caregiving experience preferred (but not required)
• CNA license a plus, but not required
• Ability to pass:
• Background check
• Caregiver background clearance
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift, stand, and assist residents as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude
