Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
The Little Sisters of the Poor are seeking an RN or LPN to provide training and leadership to our Nurses and Nursing Assistants. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Nurse for the day shift. We serve the elderly by providing them with a home-like environment which meets their health, activity, spiritual and socialization needs. Our facility (St. Martin's Home) is newly renovated and each living area (instead of units we call these living areas 'cottages') has the capacity for 18 residents. St. Martin's Home offers independent, assisted living, and long-term care options for the elderly who have limited financial resources. Each cottage has a Little Sister who serves as the cottage coordinator, to assist the 18 residents with their ADL's. You won't find a cleaner, newer, or more organized facility anywhere... We believe in dignified and quality resident care - it is our topmost priority. Our Home, while having most of the bells and whistles of other facilities, is quiet, fun, loving, steady, warm and inviting. If you are desirous of a rewarding position, a place that knows your name, a place who supports you, a place which has very few admissions and discharges (residents stay with us - they regard St. Martin's as their home), a place where every resident has their own room, a place where the Chapel is the centerpiece of the home, a place where the owners/management are so committed to the mission that they live here too. We are especially interested in candidates who have the following experience/attributes: - Long term care or a similar situation environment. - Point Click Care electronic documentation or other similar experience. -Capability to make frequent decisions and lead nursing staff independently - Organized and efficient demeanor, however, also exhibit a caring, devoted personality toward those to whom they provide care. Does this opportunity appeal to your higher calling? If so, please submit your resume. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
