Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
Summary Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, ensures nursing care is in accordance with the client care plan of treatment, including comprehensive health and psychological evaluations monitoring the client’s condition, health promotion and preventative care, coordination of services, teaching and training, provision of direct nursing care. Major Duties/Responsibilities 1. Coordinates services 2. Provides services that require substantial and specialized nursing skill. 3. Consult with and educate the client and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques and preventative strategies. 4. Initiate appropriate preventative and rehabilitative nursing procedures. 5. Prepare clinical and progress notes. 6. Inform the physician and other personnel of changes in the client’s needs. 7. Evaluate the effectiveness and outcome of care. 8. Supervise LPN’s and paraprofessionals that provide services to clients. 9. Plan for the client’s discharge from service. Minimum Qualifications 1. A graduate of an approved school of professional nursing who is licensed as a Registered Nurse by the state of Ohio. 2. At least one year of home health experience.
