POSITION SUMMARY - Full or Part Time 1st, 2nd & 3rd
Registered Nurse is responsible for supervision with delivery of professional nursing care to patients/residents following the established policies and procedures of Ridgecrest Village/Crest Health Care Center. This position will supervise and assist as needed to Registered Nurse, Licensed Nurse, Certified Nurses Aides, and Assistants in living to ensure that all patients/residents care meets the high standards of Ridgecrest Retirement Village/Crest Health Center.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)
The Registered Nurse, Evening Supervisor will be a graduate from an accredited school of nursing and be licensed to practice in Iowa. Have two years work experience with geriatric patients in a long term care facility is mandatory. It is important for the Registered Nurse, Evening Supervisor to possess patience, tact, enthusiasm and a cheerful disposition. The Registered Nurse, Evening Supervisor must possess the mental and physical capabilities to fulfill the duties of this position.
FUNCTIONAL ACCOUNTABILITIES FOR THE REGISTERED NURSE (RN)

Essential Functions of the Registered Nurse (RN):
Supervise the established Standards of Nursing practices and facility policies.
Receive pertinent nursing information to ensure continuity of care for patients and residents.
Conduct routine rounds of all patients in Health Center making nursing assessments and evaluations to ensure continuity of care.
Be aware of availability of rooms in Health Care Center in event of unscheduled admit from Retirement Village.
Review written/verbal orders of physicians to ensure accuracy in all orders.
Monitor all laboratory reports, recognize abnormal values and ensure appropriate persons are informed.
Supervise the administration of medications, treatments as ordered by physicians.
*MUST HAVE ACTIVE IOWA LICENSE*
