Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
The Per Diem/Part Time Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for overseeing all clinical operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing nursing staff, and maintaining quality standards of care. The DON will serve as a leader and mentor, supporting both staff and patients to achieve the best outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the nursing staff, including hiring, training, and evaluations.
Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation regulations.
Oversee patient assessments, care planning, and clinical documentation.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality assurance programs.
Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and families to coordinate patient care.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
MDS Nurse
Minimum of 2–3 years of nursing leadership/management experience (home care preferred).
Must have both clinical and home care experience
Well versed in Medicaid and Medicare processes and documentation.
Strong knowledge of state and federal home care regulations.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
