Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Admissions Nurse of Hospice of Western Kentucky is responsible for the implementation and coordination of care from the initial referral to admission.
Professional:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Current licensure in the state of Kentucky.
- Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing practice.
- Ability to comprehend applicable federal, state and local regulations and policies,
procedures and programs.
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills
- At least three years of experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home,
or related health care facility preferred.
- Desires to work as part of a team and willing to represent the principles, view and
mission of Hospice and Palliative Care of Western Kentucky.
- Personal qualities of empathy, responsibility, dependability, and intelligence.
- Must abide by HWKY Code of Ethics, Core Values and Anti-Values.
- Must be Covid Vaccinated or receive an applicable exemption approved by Hospice.
