RN - Skilled Nursing - NOC Shift - Wednesdays

Responsibilities: Administers the correct medication following the five rights of medication administration Documents medications and treatments on appropriate forms Monitors security and availability of medications Addresses family and resident issues Observes and reports medication effects and/or adverse reactions Reports unusual occurrences and observed changes in the resident’s condition to the physician Responsible for notifying the physician of resident change of condition, adverse side effects, need for orders Orders medications daily as needed Reports medication errors to the physician Fills out incident reports of unusual occurrences and reports accordingly Assists with resident admission as requested Reports medication / treatment errors, changes in behavior and acute changes to the physician Completes daily assignment sheets and coordinates coverage with staff coordinator Monitors and documents IV sites and dressing changes as appropriate Qualifications Excellent critical thinking and nursing judgement Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Successful completion of Nursing School Current Washington RN license Current CPR Certification One year of nursing experience
