Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
JOB SUMMARY: The RN plans, organizes, and directs patient care. The registered nurse is responsible for initial and comprehensive assessment of the residents/patients. The RN develops the patients’ plan of care as identified in the initial and comprehensive assessment. The RN is responsible for the supervision of the clinical and ancillary staff in the facility. Participates in on-call duties and must be available within 30 minutes when there is no RN on duty in the CLHF. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Registered nurse with current licensure to practice nursing in California. 2. Graduate of accredited school of nursing. 3. Baccalaureate degree in nursing preferred. 4. Minimum 1-year experience in the healthcare field, preferably SNF or CLHF. 5. Maintain current CPR certificate. 6. Must comply with accepted professional standards, practices, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care. 7. IV certification preferred. 8. Ventilator certified preferred 9. Ventilator experience preferred.
