JOB SUMMARY:
The licensed vocational nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The LVN is responsible for following the plan of care, providing treatments, and working with the clinical staff and other healthcare team to meet the needs of residents in the CLHF. The LVN can be assigned duties as a treatment nurse, medication nurse, or charge nurse in the absence of a RN in the CLHF.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of an accredited LVN nursing program.
2. Minimum one (1) year nursing experience as LVN preferred.
3. Must possess a current and unencumbered active license to practice as an LVN in the State of California.
4. Must comply with accepted professional standards and practice and guidelines that
pertain to long-term care.
5. Maintain current CPR certificate.
6. Valid IV certification preferred.
7. Ventilator certified.
8. Ventilator experience preferred.
