HOME HEALTH REGISTERED NURSE

Well established Home Health Agency in Tujunga looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will be responsible for educating them and their families on prevention and healthy habits. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care with little supervision. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote patient’s well-being by providing high quality nursing care. Responsibilities • Assesses all patients initially, chooses appropriate parameters for measurement and making recommendations for additional services related to the patient's medical history/ disease process, nursing assessment, functional limitations, and the Plan of Care • Notifies all essential personnel regarding any significant changes in patient's condition and or patient's needs. • Carries out Physician's orders as directed; Clarifies orders. • Gives clear and precise explanation to the patient the the family caregiver about the services the Agency provides. • Counsels the patient and the family in meeting nursing and related needs. • Educates and instructs patient, patient's family or staff as required. • Supervises Home Health Aide and LVN's as required. Skills • Must have at least 1 year working experience as a Registered Nurse. • Proven experience as a Registered Nurse. • Excellent knowledge of nursing process methods and procedures. • Ability to act appropriately and safely in emergency situations. • In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination etc.) and willingness to follow them at all times • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Responsible and compassionate • Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills • Identifies problems and utilizes excellent problem-solving skills. • A graduate of an approved school of professional nursing who is licensed by the state where practicing. • Valid nursing license
