Registered Nurse (RN) Job Description
We are looking for a full time Delegating Nurse for our Assisted Living Facility at Carroll Lutheran Village, CCRC in Westminster, Maryland. Job description The primary purpose of your job position is to provide clinical oversight to residents and unlicensed staff in the Assisted Living setting. This is a full time position working 8am-4pm Monday through Friday. This position does include an on call rotation every other weekend. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Retain accountability for the residents care, to include visual observation of each resident at a minimum of every 45 days. Observation of medication passes of unlicensed personnel at a minimum of every 45 days. Triage resident medical conditions and determine need for physician intervention. Provide 24hr on-call for resident related clinical concerns. Responsible to evaluate the continued competence of the unlicensed individual to perform the delegated nursing task. Complete and evaluate Self Medication Assessments to determine safety of residents who self medicate on admission (if ordered) and every 90 days thereafter. Assist in the development, evaluation and on-going requirements of the Service Plan as regulated by Md. Regulations. Responsible for Quality Assurance and Chart Review with signature at a minimum of every 45 days. Review and sign for Incident Reports, Medication Error Reports, Pharmacy Occurrences and Recommendations. Review and sign for new admissions/readmission assessment orders within 14 days of admission. Evaluate Admission orders and new orders prior to delegation of Nursing Tasks to Medication Assistant. QUALIFICATIONS: Currently possess, as a minimum, a Registered Nursing degree from an accredited college, university, or hospital Nursing Program. Ability to obtain training for Delegating Nurse Functions as provided by the Md Board of Nursing. (training provided and compensated by employer) At least three (3) years of experience in a hospital, long term care facility, or other related health care facility. Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state. Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Ability and willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel. Ability to have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents. Ability to relate information concerning a resident’s condition. Ability to provide documentation of such certification upon application for the position.
