The RN Team Leader provides clinical leadership and direction to the CNAs on the team to assure resident care is provided in accordance with the established policies and procedures and within professional practice standards to assure quality resident care is achieved and that federal, state local, and Joint Commission regulations are met. The RN Team Leader practices within the scope of a professional nurse clinically and also administratively as the need arises. All assigned tasks are carried out in accordance with policy and procedures of Fellowship Manor and the Mission and Core Values of Fellowship Community. Essential Qualifications & Credentials § A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a long-term care or equivalent nursing leadership capacity. § Knowledge of federal, state, Joint Commission and local skilled nursing regulations. § Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse. § Must be able to read, write, comprehend and speak English. § Intermediate computer skills required § Ability to organize, prioritize and provide direction in the care of residents. § Experience in nursing care of the geriatric resident and the geriatric resident with dementia. § Demonstrates effective leadership skills in delivery and coordination of resident care. § Possess the confidence and the initiative to respond to emergent situations. § Ability to prioritize, organize and address demanding needs as they arise. § Experience in performance reviews and HR laws as relates to personnel management § Demonstrated effective problem solving and clinical decision-making skills. § Certified in Basic Life Support. § Must be able to see adequately to perform visual and qualitative physical and behavioral assessments of Geriatric residents and geriatric residents with dementia. § Must be able to communicate with persons who may be visually and/or hearing impaired. § Work performance reflects the essential elements of Fellowship Community’s Core Values ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS OF PERFORMANCE/ CORE VALUES § Demonstrates commitment to both internal and external customer service § Works well with others in a respectful, positive and cooperative manner § Willing to be flexible to meet the needs of the organization § Takes initiative to assist other team members without being directed. § Presents a professional and welcoming image to all residents, family members, staff and visitors of Fellowship Community. § Must demonstrate effective communication skills by conveying necessary information accurately, listening effectively and seeking clarification when necessary § Completes annual compliance and HIPAA training and exhibit behavior as set forth by the Compliance and Ethics program Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
