My Father was a resident at Hampden Hills for 8 months until he passed on September 28th. During this time I was fortunate to meet some wonderful and dedicated Employees of Hampden Hills. Kara at the front desk was absolutely amazing. She always greeted me with a warm smile and we had many great conversations. She deeply cares about the patients and their visitors. The nurses who helped take care of my Father we're very caring. These nurses Included Addis, Precious, Jiro, Roman, and many others. Also, a special shout out to the ladies In the laundry who kept my Fathers Clothes clean including Merriam, Willy Christina and Kady. Isabel and Jessica and Jennifer in the business office we're also very helpful. I am truly grateful for all the wonderful employees I met at Hampden Hills!
I have been a volunteer through my church at Hampton Hills for over 2 1/2 years. Once a month my Catholic church group brings Communion to the Catholic residents at Hampton Hills. Terry Barth is very helpful in getting the list of the Catholics ready each month and making sure that our visits are on the calendar each month. In addition, I have 2-3 residents that I visit on a weekly basis. I have found the staff to be helpful and attentive to the requests that I've made. The residents themselves seem to be happy with the staff most of the time. When they are not happy it seems their own limitations are mostly what make them unhappy. One of the residents that I visit calls some of the male staff members "GG's" (for good guys). I have seen the staff members do little things like smile when they walk by, give hugs and braid hair and bring treats! I am sure that they are very busy with the amount of care that is needed for the population of residents, but it is nice to see the little things that they do to reach out to the residents. Cara at the front desk is also always helpful to me. I am grateful to have the opportunity to help.
Betty, the transportation director, always made myself and Tamara feel confident and secure knowing that we could count on her to make sure we could get to our appointments safely and on time. Betty treated us like family. When a rare problem with scheduling occurred, she made sure that it was quickly resolved. Betty has a way to make you feel special and important. Betty is a great asset to Hampton Hills Post Acute.
We are very happy with my mom’s care at Hampden Hills. Mom has challenges but her nursing staff makes it much easier for her. The social work team has always been helpful and accommodating. Kara at the front desk is so helpful, patient, and she gets things done!
Our brother is at Hampden Hills Post Acute and we are very happy with his care. This is the 2nd facility for him and nobody compares to the friendliness and professionalism here. Immediately, you are greeted by Kara (and her amazing pup), who clearly cares about the residents, which in our experience is rare. The therapy staff is fantastic! Thanks to them, our brother is improving every day. Thank you, Hampden Hills!
