I had a family member who was here for a couple of weeks and she told me how much she suffered here. They lied that they showered her 3 times. My grandma said only once which is why she complained . Keep in mind she does not suffer of Alzheimer’s so she knows exactly what is going on. When we weren’t able to visit her she mentioned they wouldn’t come by to even check on her just to bring her food. She tried calling them when she was in pain to get pills and nobody swung by and she mentioned she kept pressing the button until the person she shares the room with got a hold of someone they came right away . Another time she had to call us from her cellphone to tell us they hadn’t changed her in hours . We had to go over there and when we got there she was in fact not changed. She mentioned this to social worker. We took her out of there and took care of her at home instead. Think twice before you put a family member here. People who work here need to be more compassionate and attentive. The other reviews also say they wouldn’t come by to give them their medication and that right there says a lot. Seen the review that says they ignore call buttons. That is accurate are pick and choose which is sad and shows the CNA are not doing their job.

My Mom is a resident at this facility and I've been impressed by the care and empathy of the staff. It's not an easy thing, being here, but I do think that most of the folks that work here try to make it easier. Sometimes it can feel a little chaotic, but I credit that to the occasional staffing shortage. Overall, I am thankful for the competent staff, clean environment and most importantly kindness shown. Would recommend.

Do I regret going home yes and no! Bakersfield post acute has been my home for a month. Everyone has been so friendly, So dedicated to a job that often gets no thanks. And sicenity in giving that reflects a deep satisfaction in the job they preform. All personal gets a five stars from. Office workers,Rns,CNA'S, kitchen, maintenance and house keeping. And everyone I may have left out. The food is delicious with well prepared mean- plus snacks if you want them. I've never had a sour face when wanting more or something different it was always "of course you can" The activities center is a blessing if you only get out of bed and participate. A good way to socialize and relive the boredom in your room. Therapy is great! They aren't here to cure you, but rather to help and to improve your heath and shorten the time of your stay to return home. It's all up to you and the effort you give yourself. I will miss you all!! As I leave and return home. You've all made my experience very exceptional and I bless each of you for you caring affection and attention. I do recommend Bakersfield Post Acute to future people seeking a good rehab facility I certainly do- the first on my suggested list! Gordon Miller

Please whatever you do, do not leave your loved ones here. I feel bad for the patients that are in there with no way to get out. This pictures are deceiving! Rooms are crap. Dusty, chairs have stains on them, no AC in the rooms. This nurse called stating “is 85 OXYGEN normal for him? Oh nevermind his oxygen is 90 now” why would they call to worry us. My family member was here for not even two days and was rushed to the hospital. his cpap had no water, nurse stated “idk what happened”. I called to check on my family member the lady stated “I don’t have details for you” well can you go figure it out for me? I specifically told the nurse before my family member left the facility in an ambulance to make sure all the belongings were with my family. He only arrived to the hospital with his phone and glasses. they didn’t even have his medical history in the system. If you want your family member to live please do not leave them here, we regret not doing our research before sending him here

I wouldn't recommend. My mom was here for about a month. She had her toes amputated and within 4 days of being here they showered her and hit her very freshly amputated foot. She was in severe pain and they would just tell her if she was in severe pain to go to the hospital instead of giving her pain meds. The wound nurses would document they changed dressing when they did not. My brother had to ask the lady's to change it to where one of the nurse said " you can take your mom home and do it". The 2nd time they showered her they got her wrapping wet and broke her skin graft that went over her open wound. Now she has to have a second procedure to put a new one. The dr goes 1 a month and takes forever to communicate. You call and try to get connect with people and they never answer. I tried to discharge my mom and they were basically saying they weren't going to give her home health or no medication because it wasn't a "Safe Discharge" . She signed out (ama) & is doing better & looks better than she did when she was there.
