Worst Facility EVER!!!! The turnover is crazy. They don't care about the residents. My dad would be left in his pee for hours. His stuff would go missing, money, clothes (that I would have to buy)his personal belongings. They would not help my dad in any way. They were very put out by their jobs there. My dad would tell staff he needed to be changed and they would say "that's not my job" but they wouldn't get anyone else to do it either. My dad is in his right mind and he spoke up when he felt he wasn't being treated like a human being or when disrespected. They did not like that. They treated him like he wasn't in his right mind. He would call them out on things and he would get in trouble. There were no rights for the residents there, even the staff complained about the management. I Really put all the blame on management. I would have meetings with them only for them to tell me what I wanted to hear, never real action. They would just appease us to get by. I even wrote corporate and not one person reached out to me or responded with my concerns. They ended up kicking my dad out with made up reasons. what a blessing in disguise that was! He is at a new facility now that is fantastic. They love my dad and love on him. I cant believe the difference. The staff at his new place treat him and myself like family and it is genuine! They all help each other there, its clean and the food is all homecooked! They actually spoil my dad there. Its a lot further than i would have liked, but its so worth it knowing my dad is at peace and being loved on. This proves to me that the Grand isn't much better than our government, lying to cover things up and have total control even when its not right. They will do anything to have the bad things that went on there kept quiet, but that just wasn't my dad and I am proud of that! These places should be nothing but peaceful and loving, as this is the last place that most will ever live and management AND CORPORATE should feel the same. But its all about the money to them! WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS
I just wanted to give a big shoutout to Erin Davis and the whole team for making some awesome changes around here. Since Erin took the reins, things have been on the up and up. She's got this incredible work ethic and genuine care that's making a real difference. Personally, I've been having a blast volunteering to take pictures of the residents. It's become a highlight for me, and it seems like the residents enjoy it too. They even dress up when they know I'm coming and sometimes offer me food – how cool is that? One resident cracked me up when she said, "Hold on, let me grab my teeth!" before a photo session. The staff and residents have this fantastic vibe going on. There's a great connection, and it's obvious everyone is having a good time. So, to Erin and the whole crew, thanks for the positive changes and for creating such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. You guys are doing great things, and it doesn't go unnoticed!
My mother was transferred to Grand at Bethany from the hospital. She stayed several days before getting moved to hospice. The facility itself is a bit run down, but I found the staff to be attentive, professional, and caring which is extremely important when a patient and family are under so much stress. Unfortunately, we never got a visit from a doctor which was not ideal when we had questions and needs. Food was also surprisingly good. I’d be comfortable sending my loved one here for skilled nursing.
I posted a review 2 years ago so I wanted to update. My father is still living here loves the food and staff. Erin has always gone above and beyond for us. She truly loves her residents. I can't speak for all the staff but most of them are so sweet & helpful. I'm here 4-5 times a week. They do activities and throw nice holiday parties. They really deserve some praise because I appreciate each and everyone of them.
Horrible place my aunt was neglected there, they chopped off her hair, woke up with her pants off. They took her clothes, the staff took her phone. I would call and call and she would be scared to talk to me.they was watching her making sure she wasn’t saying anything bad. The entire staff acted weird. When I got there to check her out she was crying and ready to go. They would eat food in front of her she offered to buy her own but they wouldn’t answer. When they chopped off her hair because it was so matted she wanted to pay for a good brush and some detangler they ignored her and proceeded to chop her hair off. She has an ulcer on her foot from there they didn’t take care of it and it came from there and had got bad and is in the er. She was being abused from one big lady and guy and would hold her down and abuse her she was screaming for her life and got sent to the hospital but the staff said it was for a different reason and she’s hard hearing so she didn’t understand, she had bruises from them all over her. Bad place definitely don’t send your people here. Even lifeline was at my house when I brought her home and came to check on her, I had told them what happened and they said it was ashamed that places like this is even still up running.
