Worst place ever. I pulled my Mom out of this filthy facility after 12 days of fighting with the Drs to have ANY kind of tests done and mainly Nurse DaSneezya about giving her wrong as well as harmful medications. They had only realized WHY she was there on the 9th day. Their floors were absolutely FILTHY even after it was ‘allegedly’ reported the floors were never cleaned. Their carpets in the hallways are filthy as well. That along with Nurse DaSneezya Godlike attitude is why I took my Mom out of this place. They would have surely killed her had I not intervened. I’ve reported it to their ‘quality’ controllers but the floors and attitudes are likely STILL just as nasty. ( I went and bought Swiffer pads to clean the ‘sanitized’ room. See photos)

Don’t let the beautiful building and area of town fool you. I wouldn’t take my dog here. My mother was here for skilled nursing and rehab for 20 days. With the exception of a couple of nurses the care was awful. She was yelled at by staff to get up and go to bathroom with no assistance and some help was ugly to her which I did address but I was very disappointed at the lack of care, bad attitudes and not enough nurses. Oh and when I brought her home I found a very bad bruise on her upper arm from being grabbed and pulled on in the bed.

If no stars was an option I would have opted for that. The Birmingham location is horrible. The nursing staff don’t care about patients. The director of clinical services doesn’t care what the nursing staff do. They don’t like to be asked questions. They don’t answer the phone. They don’t know that a fall risk patient shouldn’t be left unattended. They lie and say they provide assistance for ADL’s and don’t. If you act like you care about your loved ones therapy care plan they make sure to do therapy when you are not around. If you can’t stay 24/7 with your loved one I wouldn’t waste time sending my them here trusting the will care for a patient. Not clean. Diet restrictions they don’t care. Just piss poor attitude and it show in the quality of care.

My mother was only there 3 months. Susan Potts was director at the time. They lost my mother's partial, they could not match outfits for my mother. My mother had beautiful hair. I would pay a private person to come in wash and blow dry her hair. I went one Saturday morning to find my mother in tears. They had just set her in shower and got her hair wet. There were specific directions for the medical staff that they totally ignored. They would lose her clothes, food was horrible. I watched many people lose love ones due to neglect. The health dept. Put 15 tags on the dining error. The woman over the dinning area was in cahoots with Susan Potts. Do Not put your love one there. Kathey

Brookdale Senior living was a life saver for my Brother and I. My brother went through 3 Surgeries in 3 weeks, just to end with a full Amputation of toes, foot, ankle and leg. We arrived here and the care that was provided by this entire Staff was so Amazing and Uplifting. it truly was the game changer in our lives during our 19 day extensive stay. I would recommend this Rehabilitation Facility to anyone that has a family member that needs love, comfort, Support and Help with getting back to Independent living or Assisted living. Where Do I start: let me began with Ms. Patsy Gann, Healthcare Administrator who made my Brother and I so Comfortable with her hands on open door welcome and policy. Then the greeting from Princess Pippen, Director of Clinical Services was hands on with love and encouragement for my brother daily comprehensive ness, also Destiny Houston the Social Worker who made sure we received all the necessary resources that was available in the facility and aftercare services. The Physical therapy, Occupational therapy and Memory and emotional support. Ms Latoya Atkins, keep us a breasted with all the needed health Care information. Ms Mina the Nurse and all 24/7 Nurse's with there prompt on time treatment of Meds. Also CNA Precious, T, and others on all shifts during our entire wonderful stay. Brookdale Senior living is a Awesome place for Rehabilitation and getting one back to Independent living or Assisting with your living. Thank God for this Life line.
