I spent 6 weeks in the Rehab Unit recovering from a knee replacement with complications. I will be returning when I have the other knee done. Not all rooms are 2 room suites. But the single bedrooms are very generous in size. The staff were all very nice. The food was very good. Every now & then, just ok, but they always have something that you can order if you don’t like it. The therapy offered there was outstanding. They push you gently to succeed meeting goals & help you gain confidence during recovery. I saw a review saying they don’t treat people of color very well, but find that hard to believe as they hire many people of color. If you want the best in rehab, this is where you want to be.

My sister was on Rehab floor for 3 months and care was good but took 6 weeks to get her enough pain medication so she could actually participate in therapy. Takes forever to get any medication changes. Then she had to move to Skilled Nursing floor and what a nightmare. She was there for 4 days before we had to find another place to move her to. Do not put anyone you love in skilled nursing unit here.

Firstly, our neighbor, Bill, expressed his care here with misty eyes, and they treat him like family. He is getting therapy, getting stronger, the staff are amazing in care, cleanliness, and attention. We don’t wait more than 10 minutes for an ‘urgent’ call button. Food is good- he enjoys it. They have birds, fish, outdoor seating for clients and family. The staff are professional, caring and call him by name . Overall a 5!! Thank you CH! Give the staff a raise-$50/ hr and bonus for the extra mile! My husband is a nurse and did clinicals there and had same perspective from the caregiver point of view. Good job- good care for loved ones! Bill thanks you!

My grandmother was "treated" at congregational home after having a stroke. She was regularly not given her medication as it was listed on her doctors orders. It was requested that her food be soft or cut into small pieces as she had a hard time swallowing after the stroke. This was not done. Many conversations were had with staff and management where excuse after excuse was given but no action taken. If you love your family don't send them here. All they care about is getting their money out of medicaire and kicking people out.

My husband has been at Congregational Home twice in the past 2 months for rehab after suffering 2 strokes. The room and entire facility is exceptionally clean and comfortable. The staff have been wonderful and the care is excellent. I am a RN, so I know the difference between excellent care and poor care. The caregivers have been very professional and always with a smile. Many of them have been there for years and one person told me she had been there for nearly 20 years and loves it. They have several activities for residents, from visiting dogs to music to games and religious meetings. The gardens are beautiful and peaceful. I highly recommend Congregational Home for anyone who needs rehab, assisted living, or skilled nursing.
