I was in the facility for over a month and I must say I don’t have many complaints! I was there recovering from surgery. The administration was very on point in terms of informing me of things I needed to be aware of during the process of transitioning and during my stay. My Specialty Dr. appointments were scheduled with transportation arranged to accommodate my wheelchair needs. I also had immediate access to my medical records upon request without hesitation. The staff knew me by name even before I could name them. Physical & Occupational therapy daily. The CNAs were very attentive to my call light. The Nurses were on top of my medications and the Dr. addressed my pain needs to help me be comfortable. And OMG! the food was surprisingly Good! It surpassed my expectations! The food services Manager was trying to fatten me up with my customized orders! Now on to the next phase of recovery…Thank you Desert Cove!

Hi my name is Rosita, let me add some background information my mom shorty suffered a stroke 6 weeks ago, for the first 4 weeks she was at another facility. Towards the end of her stay I was advised to send my mom to a skilled nursing facility to continue working on her recovery/therapy. I was able to get her into a place close to home not knowing how it was going to turn out and be such a horribly wrong choice. I got in the phone made some calls With the help of my moms health insurance I was able to find & call DESERT COVE NURSING CENTER. Thank you Crystal (I have so much gratitude for you) I was able to get my mom into a room, my mom has been here for 4 days thriving tremendously, she has been treated so well here. So far my mom’s strength has improved we are still working on balance and able to stand/walk without needing assist, With determination we will get there. Thank you Desert Cove for giving me the peace of mind that my mom is being taking care of after hours and treating her with the upmost respect. Also the food has been great, and accommodating her needs; housekeeping is wonderful; housekeeping comes in every day once a day. In my opinion if you are needing a short term facility center to recover I highly recommend desert cove. Thank you so much and may my moms stay continue to get better throughout the time she is here. Sincerely, Rosita Childers

The Desert Cove Nursing Center in Chandler, Arizona, provided outstanding care for my mother during her two-month stay following surgery last year. Despite her being a heavier woman with challenging care needs, the staff treated her with immense respect, compassion, and love. I was there every day and saw firsthand how dedicated they were to her well-being. Special thanks to Suzette Savage, the Director of Social Work, who was an incredible support to both me and my mother, coordinating care and providing much-needed guidance. Kyle Knotts, the Director of Rehab, along with Julie Shaw, worked wonders with my mother’s rehabilitation. Jayrell Fowles and Paula Gross were also excellent in managing her case and navigating the healthcare system. When my mother was transferred to another facility closer to home, the difference in care was stark, proving just how exceptional Desert Cove truly is. If you’re seeking a nursing center where your loved one will be treated with dignity and top-quality care, I highly recommend Desert Cove.

My name is Robert and I am the medication delivery driver for CVS Omnicare. I want to say that the entire staff is always good and helpful to me and always greet me with a smile. The nurses and I have brief conversations every time I am there, if there’s food at the stations or in the employee break room, I am always offered to help myself to it and tell me that I am part of their team, which is very nice of them to say. I even interact with some of the patients as well from time to time. I typically see Julie at the front desk, sometimes Sierra too. The nursing staff like Grayson, Eva, Penny, Clementine, Lisa, Patrice, Chrystal, Chanel, Sheila, Michelle, and Angel are always wonderful and good to me. Occasionally, I will come in contact with the management team like Claudia, Crystal, Suzanne, who are also very nice to me and also activities coordinator Amanda and her boss Karina. I have to say that without a doubt, I am Amanda’s favorite!!!! Lol. Speaking of Amanda, when I was there today to make my deliveries, I was teasing her about the last time she was supposed to give out ice cream to the staff and patients, and because she was not there that day I could not take advantage of getting any ice cream. She asked me if I would like a piece of pie that was in the back room and I said yes so she went and brought back to me a piece of Keylime pie while I was delivering at the West station. That was very nice of her to do that for me. Occasionally, I come in contact with some of the CNA’s and they are nice to me too like Monica, Crystal, Miranda, and Joseph to name a few, but I don’t remember some of the other names because I don’t see them as much. If anyone is looking to set up any type of activity, function, etc., I highly recommend asking for and contacting Amanda Rafferty or Karina! Just call the facility and ask for either one of them!

I came to visit my dad first time one Sunday and he seemed happy although I walked into his room there was some brown stuff next to wall desk and the floor looked dirty so I immediately brought attention to the staff member who was at the desk about it. I hope to come to a cleaner room next visit. *My dad was also missing his soft pillow that supposedly always goes on his wheelchair seat. Thanks for caring for my dad even with language barrier, he's a good dad with good humor. One more thing I forgot to mention whenever a patient's laundry is washed why put bleach on colored clothes, my dad got a brand new sweat pants recently and his pants was all bleached up making his pants look old, now come on laundry lady *how would like it if someone put bleach on everything you wear??? Do better care and washing patients clothes.
