I had the pleasure of being a patient at Folsom Care Center from January to March this year, and I must say, it was a much better experience than I had anticipated. I had heard some rather concerning stories about how patients are treated in these types facilities, so I was quite nervous going in. But to my surprise, everything was completely different at Folsom Care Center. The nursing staff, including the night shift, were all incredibly caring and attentive. My room was cleaned every day, and my clothes were washed and brought back to me with such care and love. The PT Staff worked me! Now I know why. They had to work me for me to get better. Thank You PT. Whenever I needed help, they were always there with a smile, making sure I didn’t feel like I was bothering anyone. I truly appreciate all the support I received during my stay. I hope and pray that I never need to use a care center’s assistance again, but if I do, I’ve already made sure my child knows that Folsom Care Center is where I would like to stay.
My mother spent a couple weeks of recovery at Folsom Care Center after having a hip replacement. The care she received was top notch. The facility, staff, food, etc. were all better than any other care facility that we have experienced. We felt very lucky to have such a great facility so close by. Thank you!!!
The staff at Folsom care center goes above and beyond in taking care of each and every individual. They respect and care for our family members when we are not able to care for them With love and kindness The professionalism of the Burger physical therapy staff is second to none in knowledge and encouragement. The nursing staff takes pride in what they do and it shows as they give the best possible care to each and every patient. Doctor Gutman and PA Kristi Hufford Exemplify knowledge and medical professional experience in working with both the aged population and those requiring rehabilitation. The staff keep the facility above average in cleanliness and care, including washing clothing, bedding, floors, And other necessities For for seniors. Finally, the food, let me just share my father Has a very particular pallet and with all of his special Requirements he is always telling me how good the food is. Extra special thanks to Jody and Christine in PT for spending that extra time with both my dad and me. I highly recommend this facility
A family member was recently in Folsom Care Center for 2 weeks and it surpassed all our expectations. It seems very well managed, and the staff were kind and caring. They were very understanding and patient with each person's unique situation and quirks. The activities are abundant, and the bird areas are very beautiful and therapeutic. The physical therapists and occupational therapists were fabulous and the physical progress that was accomplished there was amazing. And importantly, this Care Center was extremely clean.
I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy. Upon arrival they were trying to make my mother stay on the toilet until she pooped. She only needed to pee. When they saw me the immediately got her off the toilet. The dinner, a bowl of soup, looked like it was out of a can. Macaroni salad looked like Costcos. The sandwich was so burnt the poor girl could barely cut it up. The therapist said the neck collar was not recommend. The doctor put it on my mother, her neck pain was causing elevated heart rate. Told my daughter to get her a different walker than the doctor had recommended. The doctor had specifically said not to get because of her age. They left her in bed 90% of the day. She was there to get back on her feet after a hospital stay. My sister and I decide to just leave peacefully. When I went to check her out I asked for her medicine prescribed by the hospital. They refused to give it to me and quickly gave me a form to sign. I thought I was signing her out but actually I was signing a form stating I wasn't following doctor orders. It was my choice for her to go there in the first place what a mistake. They are not caring people they are vicious. I hope my mom doesn't have complications due to not being able to get medication until Monday as she is in the process of changing doctors. If anything happens to her I will definitely hold them responsible. I was on the phone for hours trying to resolve this. They don't answer the phone and don't call you back. What a disaster.
