If you can avoid sending your loved one here please do. The worse nursing staff I've ever dealt with. Worst attitude towards visitors and residents. The physical therapy department is the only good thing about this place. The house keeping staff is very pleasant and respectful. The administrator is useless. He sits behind his big desk and shuffles paperwork that's about it. He is also rrude. I have unfortunately had 3 family members and friends stay at Peak facilities in chapelhill, burlington and now Hillsborough. They are all terrible!! I feel sorry for the patients who live there!
Terrible place to take your loved ones. Roach infested and staff are horrible here. The place is just nasty, a roach even crawled across my godmom face while in the bed. Avoid at all cost..... They didn't check on her or even give her the meds needed. Needless to say we removed her quick.....
Update 04/02/2025. I cannot say enough good things about Brookshire Peak Resources in Hillsborough, NC. My mother has thrived under the care of this excellent facility. In addition she was soon removed from hospice care when her medical issues were promptly addressed, following transfer from an inadequate facility in Durham, NC. The administration and nursing management are exemplary at this caring facility and any dealings are smooth and efficient. It has been a delight not to any longer deal with corporate ownership regarding worrying concerns. Care and housekeeping staff are welcoming and kind which contributes to the visiting experience. It is a pleasure to bring friends and family to visit. Myself and family now has exceptional peace of mind that our loved one is in the best possible hands with a thoughtful and professional caring staff. 5 ***** also for the activity program, cleanliness of the facility and pleasant, welcoming spaces. _---------------------- A breath of fresh air to have my mother cared for at Brookshire. The staff are welcoming, friendly and communicative. Some lovely spaces to sit and visit and everything is beautifully clean. Brookshire certainly have organized things well and created an environment of trust for residents and their families. I enjoy enormous peace of mind now.
My husband was in the Rehab unit for over 3 weeks. His care was exceptional. All of the staff were caring, respectful and gave exceptional care. PT was wonderful and worked with him 5 days a week. From the nurses to all of the staff they cared about him as the patient. He enjoyed the food at every meal. They went out of their way to allow me to stay with him and made me feel welcome also. I would highly recommend Brookshire for your family members.
Brookshire is such a great facility. They took great care of my dad while in Rehab. He really enjoyed the food from the kitchen on-site. He got therapy for a couple hours each day and got enough strength back to be able to go home and care for himself again. We're so thankful for the staff at Brookshire and everything they done for my family.
