Why would the staff allow another to suffer so? When we entrusted them to care? Not to mention the food trays they never brought my husband saying his tray was forgotten many times over. He became malnourished....And as Sad as all this is he could Walk there and now he can not..I DO NOT recommend this nursing facility. While some of the staff are sweet and do know compassion theybare older aides and nurses they can't be there all the time. The YOUNG aides do not care about the older human beings and my husbands care showed this..Do your research which i wish i did do ..and like I did record, and take pictures after pictures ..To those staff that actually showed empathy and compassion THANK you Michelle yountold us it was your frist day hired there at shawnee manor..You are amazing discovering the fact my husband needed the hospital, actually going with him and even seeing him inside the hospital to his room..writing your name down on his pad of paper ..your an amazing soul.Thank You! Without you no telling if my husband would be here with us...So many Thank Yous Michelle.... This place is not recommended!!!!!!!!!!!
Visited them for outpatient therapy for my teen. They worked around my schedule for appointments and the PT was kind, punctual and thorough. Would highly recommend.
My dad has been here for 6 months and staff is great!!! I would recommend to anyone. He came into the facility on lies of a family member and being his guardian but the facility saw that he did not belong in the lock down unit and was no harm to self or others. We as the family appreciate all they're help with this matter. Again, administration and nursing staff are great.
This place was neglectful, Went in one day, and there was pee all over the floor, Bed sore wasn't taken care of properly and its now a stage 4 (down to the bone!) Really do your research before putting a loved one there in that place.
Was visiting a friend. Asked aide to ask the nurse for pain medication for him. She was at lunch. It was an hour or so and still no meds. Went down hall and she said she had to call the doctor for the ok for the med.. now he still waiting for some pain medication. Nurse came in and said they got the order in and waiting for it to come. I ask her to get a standard order for him. It was an hour and a half before he got something. This man is elderly and suffered to long. Not happy.
