This is my second stay at Maple Ridge in three years. I am finding that the services and facilities are even better the second time around. The staff are very attentive and caring. They are very well-trained and knowledgeable in their fields and tasks. Many of them are real sweethearts ! The actual facilities are very well designed and easily accessible. The food is excellent. The ages of the residents here tend to be in the senior citizen class although I have seen a few whom have been only forty years old. (I am 69.)

My loved one was admitted after a hip surgery. I work in healthcare and understand compliance, safety and state regulations. This place id totally unsatisfactory. I witnessed on morning 3 different call lights that were not answered for 45 minutes. There’s rusty fasteners, torn-dirty rugs that pose trip hazards for a vulnerable population, I filed a grievance with the “top brass” and there was a retaliatory attitude with the patient. The “grievance” officer spoke a good game but after we spoke staff were belligerent with the patient stating we had to come or you would file a grievance. This is not how the State of Wisconsin wants these issues dealt with. They are to be non retaliatory. Upon discharge the patient had her wound vacuum removed stating hgis was their property and the patient was left in less than acceptable condition. I will be filing a complaint with the DHS do your loved ones do not have to go through this in the future.

There is nobody at the front desk checking people in or making sure nobody crazy comes in. There are no wheelchairs in the front, accessible for new patients. Everything is disgusting. The only positive is that the staff are pretty nice, and seens to know what they're doing.

Avoid having your loved ones here, my grandmother rolled out of her bed in her sleep breaking her neck and they did not check on her for HOURS and then they found her in the ground, the didn’t take proper care of her leading to her second amputation because they don’t clean infected wounds or help the people see medical attention, staff is barely present when in the building and only a few of them are actual good care givers. DO NOT CONSIDER THIS PLACE

I had to choose a rehabilitation center for a family member and had short notice due to being in the hospital. I was very unsure of where to start. I choose Maple ridge because it was very close and I heard good things from close co-works . Once they did accept the referral I choose to do a pop up tour the night before and I was so impressed with the welcomed feel I got when I walked through the door at 6pm . The nurses at the front station were very helpful with all my questions. I told them I was just really nervous and they made me feel so much better about my decision . When I arrived the next night at 8pm because he was discharged so late I was a little worried. Again I walked through the front door and they greeted me right away and told me they were waiting for his arrival. They got a wheel chair and went right out to bring him in and take him to his room. While I was going over everything with his nurse they took him to his room and got him nice and comfortable and by the time I got to the room he was already in pajamas and hooked up to the call light and in bed with a cup of water and happy. Every time I come in to visit since he is always clean and feed and the room is so nicely clean and the staff has been so nice. I really can’t thank everyone from the nurses to the care staff to the PT/OT that has been taking such good care of him and keeping me up to date on his status. It really is so appreciated! Thank you thank you all !!! Maple Ridge please be proud of your staff. Robin Vogelmann
