Let's face it, no one wants to be here & if you're in need of these services youre not lookingvfor the Ritz Carlton, you're looking for assistance & care. & that's why I decided to post this review. Unfortunately this became a personal necessity due to an unfortunate illness so being taken to an unknown location & facing the unknown while dealing with results of illness or injury is extremely stressful & overwhelming so when your arrival is filled with smiles & care, the ease of mind starts to happen. A caring , dedicated staff presented themselves from the start. Nursing staff did all they could to briefly & calmly explain what they could offer based on what an individual's needs are. Dr. On-site take time in reviewing history, needs and goals in an effort to form a plan for each inpatient. If needed Physical therapists as well as Occupational therapists are available & are thorough in addressing needs of all patients. The gym area is open air station with plenty of lighting & windows with soothing views which I'm guessing is for the comfort of patients. The hallways are ample for walking & kitchen area holds generous space for all. A variety of foods are available for daily meals & patients are allowed to choose meals based on their dietsry needs. There's a nice open sitting area with vending machines which includes a laundry area. Movies, games, karaoke & craft activities plus much more are offered daily. Daily newspapers, facility information & treats are available to all residents. Facility features outdoor garden with ample walking path & water features for patient relaxation or excercise. Nursing staff especially is very prompt, professional & caring especially if you are lucky enough to have nurses like Betsy, Lilliana, Kerry , Bill, Tamika,Gabi, Araceli, Erica, Faby, Yasmin & I apologize for anyone I forgot to give credit to. The janitorial staff is very diligent about cleaning of patient rooms & facility while at the same time taking care to be conscious of individual's needs. They were some of the nicest group of people you could encounter. Daily needs are assessed for each patient and if there's changes to be addressed or made they are completed in prompt manner. All staff from physician, Social work, therapy to nursing staff work together as a team to insure needs of patients are met. Instructions for patients is given in a caring, sensitive & simple manner to reassure all needs are being met. Encouragement for all patients & their families is practiced here on a daily basis & the 24/7 open door policy for family is a huge comfort & a definite plus that helps accomodate all visitors & patients who wish to see family & loved ones. If you are ever in need or are researching for a loved one, this facility will not disappoint.

I was in the facility for about 3 weeks in October 2025 and I tell you from Housekeeping, Social Worker, Activity department , Administration offices, nurses doctor, physical therapy, dietary was All absolutely amazing. I was so afraid going into a facility due to the reputation of many skilled nursing facilities, Rehabilitation Center etc. But, this facility was totally different the staffs all professional, loving, concerned, helpful to me. I will highly recommend Alta Rehab if you’re looking for extraordinaryCare. Thanks to all the employees at Alta Rehab who provided care and showed so much Compassion during a very difficult and challenging time in my life. KUDOS!!!

I go back here often to visit residents that I met when my husband was there 2 yrs. ago under Oak Brook Care. Now under Alta Rehab I feel it is as good now under Alta Rehab. Staff is friendly & they are constantly cleaning to keep it refreshing when you walk in. They have activities of some sort everyday. I would recommend this place to anyone who would ask me about it.

BEWARE! I was a recent rehab patient after knee surgery. Medicare would not pay for it so I had to do “private pay”. I was asked for and paid a deposit for 2 weeks stay, with the understanding that if I left prior to 2 weeks I would receive a refund for unused days. Well, fast forward to me leaving after 10 nights only, to find out that my refund was only going to be for 3 nights instead of 4. Reason for this? I was told by the business office that “That’s what we do!” They charge for a full extra day because “surely you received some services that day before you left”. I believe that that policy is totally outrageous and designed to take advantage of private pay individuals. In addition I sent clothes to be laundered while I was there (my name was written inside each item) and I never got them back. No one has offered me any recompense for these clothes. I do want to say that the nurses, cna’s, and physical therapists were very good. I can only say good things about them. My problem is with management. 4-5 calls made to the administrator were unreturned. My 2 star rating is only that high because of the before mentioned staff. The daily rate for which Alta charges is high, and as a retired senior, I hate getting ripped off and taken advantage of.

I am very upset since learning I was told my mother was given important medication when she was not. When my mother was admitted on Friday evening, I gave the front desk a list on paper of her medications and highlighted the most important one. I said if they couldn’t get this to her we would give it to her from her medications at home. We asked every day if she got it and was told she did. I even received a phone call Sunday evening asking for verbal consent to give this medication to her, which I gave. Then, my sister went later in the day and found out she wasn’t given this medication and wouldn’t get it until Monday. We should have been told that on Friday and we would have given her this critical medication from her own prescription at home. It is shocking to me that I was told by a nurse that she wasn’t given this given this when she had NOT been given this medication.
