If I could provide a ZERO Star rating I would. My wife was basically accepted to come to Presbyterian Manor in Rolla with a space for her. I completed the paperwork for her to be admitted and find out over a day later that they were short of staff and did not accept someone with a BiPAP machine (essentially the same as a CPAP machine, as you cannot tell the difference by looking at it). Not accepting this machine is supposedly corporate policy. This kind of practice should be totally unacceptable from a business perspective. IF there are restrictions or concerns, the staff should indicate this up front. I filled out some very confidential information as I was told that my wife would be admitted. I am extremely disappointed how we were treated!!! I will never ever recommend this facility to anyone that I know!!!
My mother was at Presbyterian Manor in Rolla for a little over two years. It was a hard decision to place her in a residential care facility, but Presbyterian Manor was the only one I would consider for my mother. It was very clean, friendly, and as close to a home environment as we could get for her. I felt that all the staff truly cared for my mom as she was a part of the up their family. They were receptive to concerns about her care, both physical and mental. All caregivers were genuine and caring.
My first experience with Rolla Presbyterian Manor began in the early 90's when my grandmother went to live in assisted living. She loved the activities and trips... And as a family we loved the care she was given until she finally passed away. Now both my parents live at The Manor. They started out in Independent Living in one of the duplexes. About a year ago my mother was moved into Tranquility House where she could get 24 hour care for her issues dealing with Alzheimer's. I couldn't be happier with her care... They treat her with respect and just like family!! My father has recently moved into Assisted Living and it has made a world of difference in his health. He is getting the assistance he needs daily. There isn't a better place in Rolla for the elderly to live and flourish... the help is SO friendly from housekeeping, kitchen staff to the nurses and administrative team!! They have truly made my parents feel at home and I have the peace of mind that they are getting great care!!
My Mom agreed to go there in September 2014, they investigated her finances so they would be able to assure that she would be able to stay there until she passed away. She was in the Tranquility House for 10 months and that went pretty well. The attention was pretty good they had activities. In August 2015 she fell and broke her hip. After surgery she had to be in skilled nursing. The treatment and care is much worse there. I came in to see Mom several times and the help was sitting by her while she was slumped in the chair and they were watching her tv. Late in 2015 Betty told us they could no longer help Mom and we needed to find a different place for her. We said we wanted to bring in hospice to help her. They said she had a week to be more responsive. She died five days later. They had never suggested hospice, they were working on ways to justify throwing her out rather than making the last days of her life better. It is a pretty good place if you don't have to deal with the management in skilled nursing.
They took excelkent care of my father while he was in their Memory Care and they are taking excelkent care if my mother in law now. She arrived there seemingly at deaths door 4 years ago and under their care she got stronger and she was able ro move into assisted living and she is doing very well. I cant think of anywhere else she woukd get better care.
