Well, this is the first time dealing with them and I've not even had the first conversation with any of the staff. They were supposed to be working with Wetzel County Hospital coordinating my mother's release to there facility for rehab for 20 days as approved by her insurance. Thursday of this week,it looked like everything was in place. Well, I received a call from a family member who was called to pick her up and take her to this facility!!!! And on a SUNDAY no less!!!! WTH happened here??? And of course, when we tried to call to see what the deal was, nobody is answering the stupid phone!!! I didn't realize people didn't need care on the weekends!!! Totally unacceptable and utterly ridiculous!!! But I guess this is what you get when you turn healthcare into an "industry!"

The staff at Genesis has taken excellent care of my sister. The physical therapy department is top notch and she has progressed to a point where she will be able to come home soon. Thank you all so much!

I would like to thank the girls at Sistersville Genesis, they are excellent with my momma. They always take time to fix her hair and dress her nice every day. These girls are the best.

Not impressed. They notified my husband at 4pm on weekday that he was being discharged the next day. Insurance stated that nursing home reported he was not making progress and that's why they were stopping coverage. Nursing home said that wasn't true, and when pressed, said "maybe it was physical therapy." I missed two days of work frantically trying to contact the social worker to file an appeal. She never returned or answered my call, although she told my husband she was going to call me. This home is an hours drive from my house. I had to jump through hoops to get the hospital bed re-delivered to the house and then the transport refused to bring his walker home...and I had to race up there to get it. They dumped him in the bed while I was still returning from Sistersville, and left his bag of stuff outside the house. My husband still cannot get out of bed without more assistance than I can give. He couldn't walk to the bathroom. He's peeing on puppy pads on the floor and all over himself. He is NOT ok to be home. My husband is a difficult person. I know that. And when things aren't right, he will complain. I absolutely believe that Sistersville Center discharged my husband deliberately because they didn't want to deal with him, regardless of his condition and ability. His leg wounds haven't been dressed in FOUR days. There's dried blood all over the wraps and he smells like a sewage truck. Apparently today was supposed to be bath day...but since he was leaving, they just left him. I'm so upset and angry I can't express enough how terrible this entire experience has been.

Sistersville Center is the best care facility I've had the pleasure of working with. They take the best of care of my family member and keep me posted on all things concerning her. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a placement for their family.
