Door was locked when we arrived for intake at 8:30pm. It was opened by a patient sitting in a wheelchair. First thing I saw was carts of dirty dishes blocking doorways. It smelled of feces. 3 beds in a room not big enough for two. Not enough room to stand next to the bed. Bathroom for room was too small to use. No way to keep his wounds and dialysis ports clean. Staff actually wanted me to sign to allow their doctor to treat "sores and wounds" he might develop. Negative stars.
Can't understand negative reviews. My son has been there for two weeks and EVERY person has been helpful, competent, friendly, and responsive. The physical therapists have done an excellent job with his recovery. We couldn't have selected a better facility for his post-hip break recovery. Would choose it again in a heartbeat.

I gave this place a 1 star because I couldn't do negative stars. My dad was only here 1 day. They almost let him die. My dad is diabetic and they didn't check his sugar before giving him insulin. He went down to 25 and basically when into a diabetic coma. They wouldn't tell him what happened. I think they figured he wouldn't remember. The person in the bed next to him told him what happened. We got our father out of there as soon as possible. Terrible place!!!!
I am writing this review for the sole purpose of acknowledging what fine care my father recently received. While there I met and observed many of the staff members who not only took care of my father but attended other patients within the same room as my father. I noticed one particular CNA Leenah who personified every great aspect of taking care of the patients under her charge. She clearly loves taking care of patients and it showed. I’m forever grateful to have met and watched her interactions with my father and other patients. She is undoubtedly a caring individual and ian outstanding representative of Menifee Lakes Post-Acute mission.
