My father was moved here in March from another facility. I won't say the name, but we made several complaints to the State about it. He was bedridden there for almost 3 months and seemed to be losing his desire to live. We were almost at our wits end and thought our prayers for healing would never be answered. We knew we had to move him, and from the first time we walked through the doors as Graybrier, we knew this facility was different. The entire atmosphere, from staff to patients is fun, loving, and caring! The changes he has made in only a few months (in the first few weeks he was there) are more than we ever expected. We just wanted him to be loved and treated with kindness and dignity in a clean facility (unlike other places), but he has absolutely flourished beyond our expectations at Graybrier. The smile is back on his face, and you can tell his whole mental outlook on life is different! He even gained some weight - he said he food is great! He has been very dependent on his wheelchair for many years and only stood to get in and out of it, but yesterday, he attended my nieces wedding and insisted on standing beside her to take photos, and standing every time the Father led us in prayer. It was a catholic church so he got his exercise. It might not sound like a big deal, but it was true blessing to my daddy smiling and strong again! We look forward to his continued healing in the hands of God and Graybrier!

My stepdad was a rehabilitation patient following a hip replacement in July 2024. As he recovered and completed his course of therapy, it became evident that returning home to live without skilled nursing assistance would not be possible. His health and physical safety were only going to be ensured with full time care as he was a major fall-risk and required assistance in all areas. There was never a doubt about where he should receive this care so he became a full-time resident of Graybrier. He spent just shy of a full year at Graybrier until he passed away this month. While there, we never doubted that he was being cared for. Although we would have preferred for him to be at home we know without a doubt that his last year was better for being a resident at Graybrier. He made connections and friendships with many of the staff members and residents. He enjoyed the activities and community outreach events that were in place on a weekly and monthly schedule. As a man who had always been active and involved in family, church, and work he found a new community in his final residence. Words can never express how grateful we are for the care provided in his time of need.

Our Mama was a patient for Rehabilitation from a Stroke at Graybriar and today she got to go home after being there for 13 days. Our family is so grateful and thankful for the exceptional treatment from ALL staff, the exceptional Therapists in working with mama on her recovery so that she could go home. The facility itself we are extremely pleased in how clean and orderly everything is at all times of the day. We felt that our Mama was very safe in their facility with the safety features they have implemented for their patients and staff. Every staff member that we would come in contact with, even if they were working with mama or just passing by in the hallway were so very cordial and friendly at all times. And we greatly appreciated it so very much. And their food, our mama absolutely loved everything they brought her to eat. In fact, when the staff would come by to pick up her food tray and they saw she had eaten everything they had brought her our mama would tell them to tell the kitchen chef the food was very delicious and to thank them. And lastly, our family were very impressed with the nursing staff checking in on mama numerous times everyday and all day. And that really made the family feel like our mama was very well cared for. THANK YOU STAFF FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK! We greatly appreciate the wonderful care our mama received there at Graybriar. From the daughter of the patient, Mrs.Stephanie Phelps Burr
