I had the pleasure of working with the staff at Oakview when I transferred a resident to the facility. The staff was helpful and made the process smooth. The staff that I worked with were friendly and kind to me and my resident. Kristie Johnson
After the tragedy of my brother’s traumatic brain injury and the difficulties in finding the right place for his long term care, Oak View Waverly Hall was a godsend. From day one, it was evident the administration, nurses and staff genuinely care for the wellbeing of their residents. From tending to the constant needs to maintaining the cleanliness of the environment, the angels of Oak View rise to the challenge every day.
We visit a family member at this facility over the weekend, and found it to very nice. The nurses were very helpful and friendly. I like to send a special shout to nurse Holly, she was very helpful and never hesitate to assist in any way. Thanks for all you do, I know this isn't a easy job, when you have to deal with different personalilties every day. Keep up the good work.
Please keep an eye on your loved ones if they are in this facility. I cannot stress this enough. Follow up with the unprofessional staff often. Keep your own notes/records. This facility need to be either shut down or they need to hire an entirely new staff. My own personal experiences are from 2020. Many of the staff members were unprofessional, lacked empathy and sympathy. Many of them are in the wrong profession and lacked training. You need to possess the ability to care, which cannot be trained. It comes from within. Many don’t have it. The leadership was clueless to what is taking place with the tenants in this facility. Another sign that things are broken. I could go on. People please pay attention and check on your loved ones.
This place gets a o star rating from me. They are rude, very unprofessional, and lack empathy for anyone. My sister is here and there is never any accountability. My family and I are working very hard to have my sister moved. It is bad when you loved one constantly calls telling you they are going to be killed in a facility and the nurses don't care, but I get this call on a weekly basis and have gotten no assistance. I did however get yelled at, talked down to and, hung up on by Marion who says she is a supervisor. If this is the type of hiring this facility is doing lord help us all.
