Sunrise of Park Ridge

Sunrise of Park Ridge provided a warm, supportive, and compassionate environment for my mother during her time in the memory care unit. The entire team, led by the exceptional Rita, consistently went above and beyond to ensure she felt comfortable, safe, and cared for. It was clear to me that the staff genuinely care about their residents, and I could see that my mom was content and well looked after. I am deeply grateful for the kindness and attention she received at Sunrise.

Although we ultimately selected a different facility due to location the staff and facility are both top-notch. I cannot comment on actually living there, but the facilities are lovely based on the tour that I took. If you are going through the stressful process of seeking a home for your loved ones the staff is incredible - thoughtful, caring, and responsive.

My dad got covid and was hospitalized and was too weak to go back to living independently so I looked for a community closer to me where he could recover but also knew he was going to need more care as he aged. I looked at 20+ communities near me - and settled on Sunrise Park Ridge. It has a warm cozy feel when you come in - like a family living room! It was not too big - an easy walk to the dining room or bistro and the room was appointed with everything he needed. My dad was mostly independent going in- although he needed help with medication management, he eventually grew weaker and became wheel chair bound and needed more hands on care with all activities. The staff at Sunrise is/was amazing to my dad and my family. They encouraged involvement in activities, they had so many wonderful family events, but most of all the level of care, respect and dignity they showed upon my dad was what we will always be grateful for. My dad came to respect and had a true love for several of his caregivers - which was so comforting to me. The nursing staff gave medications twice a day - would always keep me informed of his wellbeing, health concerns, test results - it was a great comfort to get these updates when I could not always be there. My dad wanted to live with dignity and comfort - and Sunrise Park Ridge made this happen. My family is so grateful for all they did for my dad.

Sunrise of Park Ridge is such a warm and caring environment for Seniors. This was my first experience of having to find senior living and care for both of my parents. From the very first informational visit to view the facility and meet staff, I felt at ease and knew that my parents would be, and were, cared for daily by kind, loving, caring people. The staff on the Memory floor and the Assisted Living (AL) floors were always attentive and patient and would go out of their way to make sure needs were met quickly. I am thankful to Sunrise Senior Living of Park Ridge that gave both of my parents the care and attention they needed at all times but especially when I was unavailable. Thanks most of all to SuNu, Pauline, Alex, Charmen, Victor, Julianne, Christine and Theresa who made difficult times more manageable and shared in our stories, family moments, chicken nuggets, chocolate and most importantly...laughter! I couldn't have managed the past four years without you all!

The hardest decision for someone to make is moving your mother to assisted living. Sunrise has made it the best thing we could have done. Sunrise feels like home. It's beautiful, clean, filled with wonderful people. The assisted living coordinator is a wonderful woman , Pauline Campbell. She has a top-notch group of dedicated care givers on her team. Edith, Claudia, Japhia, and so many more to make my mother feel well taken care of , comfortable, and happy. The staff is so patient and kind to every resident. There are so many things to do, see, and watch, and partake in every day. The food is good with many selections at mealtimes . The minute we walked in the door I knew I found the best place for my mother to call home.
